The Shirley Retreat Hotel is owned and operated by the United Church in Jamaica and the Cayman Islands (UCJCI). The United Church Mission Enterprise the business division of the UCJCI invites applications from qualified persons for the position.

General Manager

The General Manager is an ambassador for the brand, promoting and marketing the Hotel and the Hospitality functions within the United
Church. He/She is responsible for:

• Providing leadership and planning to all departments and functions of the Hotel and Hospitality Services within the United Church;

• Achieving sales, profit and guest satisfaction targets;

• Attaining the optimal balance between profit ability, guest and employee satisfaction.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality and Tourism Management with a major in Hotel and Resort Management or Tourism Management

• Strong Business Development and Marketing Skills

• At least 5 Years hotel management experience.
